The life tax for failing a hack is very intense. My health is up to 124 and it still takes a heavy toll. In a combat filled room a fail is usually a death. I may be under-skilled for my current area though. I only did the first mission for the hacker and haven't paid for more lessons.

Yes, failing a hack takes a heavy toll. But you did prepare for that, did you not?

Together with other ideas on the hacking skill (e.g. https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3185840&group_id=54521&atid=474019), I think this might make hacking bots too easy.

Which bot did you hack?
The amount of failure-damage may depend on the bot level (can somebody check that please? :) )

Well if it gets too easy, we can turn-off the Takeover AI crippling. :-)

The life cost of a failed takeover is quite exactly 50% of your life. You will never die from a failed takeover.

Is that acceptable or should this be changed?

I think that the failure - damage should also be dependent on the bot level......
In current scenario its not dependent on bot.......

> You will never die from a failed takeover.
The killer is not the takeover, but the bots near.

> ...exactly 50% of your life...
That's too much. The most correct is 20% or so, verying accordingly to bot
class.
