In Half-life, vending machine give some life point. I think we can use it as life foutain and mana foutain in Freedroid. Vending machine can be a shrines like in Diablo. A retro-futurism look will be good.

Two ways to do this that I can see:

1) make the vending machine act like a 'terminal' with an associated shop

2) figure out how skip the chat window and jump straight to the shop screen (this would require extra work)

The actual vending machine don't show the chat window.

A Life Fountain? Appear good... But currently, us have Doc Moore, who can heal
you free. And if he is dead, it's the player fault.

Nevertheless, having a Life Fountain in some private house appear good. When you
click in there, tux could blink green, heal_tux() could be called and could be
wrote in the console: "Tux take a sip from the Life Fountain and he now feels
restored!", and after that, refresh tux heat.

Sounds cool!
