Can we have an option that hides resolved issues instead of just putting them at
the bottom of lists?

It depends on your search criteria!
"Show All" shows all issues, but naturally we should have "Show Open" as well,
though you can achieve the same thing by setting up a saved search.

"Show not resolved" + custom searches will make this work just fine.
