I think that we should have a checkbox (with default checked) indicating if the
the installer will place an icon on the desktop.

I dislike when programs put stuff on my desktop without asking permission first.

So I did (when I was using Windows daily...)

I did not see any options to add such a checkbox.
A dialog window could be used, or even a 'components selection page',
but I do not like those solutions.

The installer is far from being perfect, but adding other features
needs to create custom pages, and I don't want to loose time on that, 
currently.

So, if you want to give it a try, feel free to do it !

(btw, you do not need to build a win32 version of the sources, just
create an empty src/freedroidRPG.exe, and then 'make package-win32')
